Oh sweet memories of my grandmother. She was one of those women who loved everyone and always made you feel like you were the most important person in the world. One of her gifts was her desire to spoil everyone with her amazing cooking and baking, and with Ukrainian blood, the food always melted in your mouth (and landed on your hips as I discovered getting older!) One of the last times I spent with her before she passed away, we sat and looked through her worn cook book. Although her memory was not great anymore she talked with passion about her favorite pastime -cooking/baking, and could recall in great detail every recipe. During that visit, I came across a recipe she used to make when I would visit as a child – her JELLY BUNS! I have vowed to make these buns since discovering this recipe (and my dad looks forward to enjoying them with me too), so keep tuned for pictures and a special family recipe.
